Saw their furniture several months ago while traveling. Took awhile, and some comparison shopping to conclude, their furniture is superior. Menno was easy to work with, answered all my questions, I would recommend checking with German Heritage Furniture before purchasing any furniture for either inside or outside. And, they helped me load it on the trailer.

Andrew helped my significant other and I with finding the perfect bedroom set and mattress. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable about everything and the options we had with customizing our furniture and what wood we should use. We ended up getting two barstool chairs and a firepit as well! Very easy people to work with! Would highly recommend and will definitely go back for more furniture to support a small town!!

I go to Mayo Clinic once a year for an ongoing issue. My husband stopped in because it looked inviting. All of the pieces in the store are of the highest quality and beauty beyond compare. I collect high end wind chimes and they have a huge selection, we bought a set. We stop every trip to MN and add to the collection. Two years ago I bought him a beautiful hand crafted cane. He loved it. He died last year. It was bittersweet to stop this year but I did & it felt like he was with me. This year they have fabulous tables made from tree: slabs. Awesome. I would highly recommend taking the time to go. The staff is not pushy just helpful and very knowledgeable.August 25, 2025I had another trip to Mayo Clinic. Made sure to leave in time to stop. I wanted to buy wind wind chimes for my children. I rarely buy flowers for funerals. I send wind chimes with a card telling them that every time the chimes sounds it is their angel flying through. My 80 something neighbor told me that. I was 3 & she was best friend. We spent a lot of time in her gazebo hence my love for wind chimes & gazebos.My cildrens father died January 1 of this year. They have added lots of new. ItemsGreat Christmas gifts plus childrens toys. A beautiful line of tables. Great place to shop! I even bought my sister chimes for taking me.

I purchased a custom picnic table via email. I was very impressed with the prompt and professional communication. I ended up purchasing a different model than what I initially thought based on excellent suggestions to better meet my needs. At no time did I feel sales pressure. Amish furniture has a reputation for high quality craftsmanship and we are looking forward to many years of use. It was a very pleasant shopping experience.

I found their custom service to be top-notch. Andy explained the different options and manufacturing techniques of the brands of furniture they carry. This helped greatly in our decision making process of which products were best suited for our needs. We will be using them again.

We were driving back from Minnesota to Illinois and saw the lighthouses along with other outdoor furniture and patio decor. The salesman was very helplful and I ended up purchasing a light kit gor my current light house for now but probably will get the light house at a later date.

The German heritage Amish furniture store in Chester Iowa has a wonderful selection with kind and courteous people! Meno and Andy are so great to work with detail oriented! Here are just a few of the pictures of things we've purchased with more posts to follow I love that Breeo grill set! The out the door table with four chairs and the glider that my husband just loves! The store has oils that my granddaughters love and toys that the other grandchildren love along with bird feeders dog dishes squirrel feeders etc etc the list goes on and on stop in and say hi! You'll enjoy the many great options this store has to offer!

I bought a lighthouse from them years ago, which I absolutely love! The light fixture quit working so I called to see if I could get a replacement. Menno was very friendly and helpful in getting the replacement for me. He even gave me a discount towards shipping.

My husband and I have purchased several things throughout the years. We just purchased a patio set. We love it and should last for years. They have many colors to choose from. While I am happy that so many people had a positive experience at this store, my wife and I were not so lucky. I would go so far as to call our experience abysmal. We went to the store on the 12th of April and my wife found a dining room table she loved. We went home, did measurements, and returned the next Saturday with checkbook in hand prepared to bite the bullet and write the check for the custom table, along with the chairs, that we wanted. We arrived as soon as the store opened as we had other things to do that day and we wanted to be the first people there so that we could get it done. The sales person we had talked to the Saturday prior arrived shortly after we did and said that he had another couple to greet and he would be right with us. In the meantime, we also found an all purpose end table we wanted for our den. The sales person returned and said that he would write up the estimate and return in 15 minutes. He also told us we could take the end table with us that day. Sounded great. We waited 15 minutes...30 minutes...45 minutes...and at just before an hour we went to check to see what was going on and found him writing up a sale for another couple who had arrived long after we did. We waited until he was finished with them then discovered that he hadn't even started on our estimate. At this point, he had my wife give her information to the lady at the computer and said he would e-mail the quote to my wife which means we couldn't purchase it that day. He didn't even offer to write up the end table we wanted to buy which means that we had wasted an hour and a half for nothing when we were the first people there. We were so aggravated that we didn't even bring the end table up, figuring it would be included on the estimate he sent us as he obviously could care less if sold us anything that day. It wasn't on the estimate.I can't believe a business that isn't first come first serve (perhaps the only one I've ever seen). I can't believe that they would leave customers alone for nearly an hour without communicating with them. If the sales person was unable to do so, he could have at least sent the lady staring at her computer screen (the only other person there) to explain whatever situation kept him from completing our sale. And, in partial defense of the sales person, I can't believe they would have only one person there on a Saturday as it is hard at times to deal with multiple people. And, lastly, I can't believe they are more interested in selling a couple of pieces of outdoor furniture (which would have been fine had that couple been there before us) than an entire custom dining room set (and let us not forget the end table).We actually considered returning to purchase the set as my wife really loved the table but the more we have thought about it, the more the entire situation has soured us on ever doing business there...which is a shame as it is a really nice table. But, customer service is important as well.

Stopped at this business to check out the beautiful lawn furniture displayed outside. The business inside had even more beautiful furnishings. It was hard not walking out without at least one of everything. This furniture is beautiful & reasonably priced. We didn't walk out empty handed, but could only fit so much in my van. We will be going back or setting up delivery of future orders. Customer service was beyond excellent!

He carried our lighthouse from our van to the building to get it refitted from solar light to electrical light. Then he carried the lighthouse back to our van. Awesome fix in 15ish minutes.

The furniture in this shop is simply beautiful! There is a nice selection of designs and woods but all have a finish smooth as satin. We bought a bedside table and a hall bench and the price was very good. In addition, the young men running the shop could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Went to purchase a poly pub table and saw a few poly gas fire pit tables which I was wanting but hadn't found any in the area. Decided to buy the gas fire pit. Menno was great to deal with along with good conversation! Would definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for poly outdoor furniture, which is a great investment that will last much longer than any big box store patio furniture!

Quality craftsmanship in all of the products I have purchased from them. I am excited about the next room that I decide to tackle. Service is top notch. I bought a couple of mattresses w/ box springs from them. They were very helpful, informed, and accommodating, making the whole experience fluid and efficient.There is some wait time due to my requests but that's to be expected with custom orders.

You can't find a higher quality, more professional, or more enjoyable place to work with on quality products. I don't know what else Chester IA has to offer, but one of it's biggest assets is German Heritage. Meno and Andrew were the very best to work with. Total professionalism, the quality of products they sell are second to none, their communication was spot on, and every expectation was met from the products we purchased and will continue to buy through them. I was very fortunate to find the Germain Heritage Amish Furniture shop about 2.5 hours from me. I previously found the Colonial Buckeye Swivel Glider in Florida. I ordered exactly what I wanted from Menno on the phone. I wanted a comfortable rocker for my back, restless legs, and a recent history of groin fractures. I wanted a unique, timeless, contrast statement piece for my small apartment. As you can see, I ordered the cherry wood and leather. I also wanted the removable arm covers. They paid great attention to detail. The comfort is outstanding!!!! This will definitely be a piece to hand down to my family. Much gratitude to Andrew and Menno!!

My husband and I stopped at German Heritage Furniture on our way to Wyoming, We stopped in just to see what they might have. Menno was quick to help us and he answered all of our questions about a sofa and two armchairs that we were looking to purchase. He then went on to help us with our fabric selection. The furniture is beautiful, and high quality. We have purchased the sofa and chairs, and we are very excited to receive them when they arrive.
